Friday Club Afternoon

Fridays during School Term Time, 3:30–4:30pm

Friday afternoons are for our juniors! Junior Club Afternoon is a relaxed, social session where young players come together to play, improve, and have a great time on court.

Expect a lively mix of fun games, friendly matchplay, and team challenges — all designed to build skills and confidence while making sure everyone's having a blast. Whether your child is just starting out or already loves to compete, there's a place for them here.

And what better way to finish the week than with pizza? Once the tennis wraps up, the kids refuel and hang out together — turning Friday afternoons into the social highlight of the week.

Junior Interclub

As organised by Western Bay of Plenty

Junior Interclub is where young players get to represent Mount Maunganui Tennus Club and test their skills against other clubs around the region. It's competitive, social, and a brilliant next step for juniors who love to play.

Teams are grouped by age and ability, so everyone gets matches at the right level. Players build match experience, team spirit, and confidence — all while making new friends and enjoying the buzz of playing for their club.

Whether it's your child's first taste of competition or they're chasing every win, Junior Interclub is a great way to grow their game.

Club Champs

Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles at each ball level. During March each year.

The Junior Club Champs are the highlight of our junior calendar — the chance for our young players to put their skills to the test and battle it out to become club champion!

Open to juniors of all ages and abilities, with grades to suit everyone, the champs feature singles and doubles events played in a fun but competitive atmosphere. Whether your child is chasing the title or simply keen to test themselves and enjoy some great matches, there's a place for them.

It's a fantastic way to experience real match play, celebrate the season, and cheer each other on — with trophies and prizes up for grabs.
